Been waiting for The Last Samurai to drop into the $14-15 price range. I'll pick it up for sure.

So walmart is doing the PS3 +GC two weeks in a row? I've got the ad in my hand and it says June 1-7. hmmm

I'll have to guess yes. I don't think the list posted above is made-up. It would take far too much work to look up all the stuff Walmart carries and then make up a price for each one, considering that almost none of the above stuff is on this week's ad. I guess someone could have made it all up, but it seems like an awful lot of work just for their own amusement. If we just had a PS3, the Panasonic, and some movies, then I could see it being fabricated, but not when we have like 50 products all with prices.

yeah. agreed w/ aurora. although i will say, if they're running it from 1st on, i'd say get it asap, as who knows how long it will last. 2 weeks long is an awful long window, easy enough to sell out in.

oh nah. i wasn't implying that it was made up. just questioning walmart's claim that it's a "limited supply" if they can afford to run the same promotion 2 weeks in a row. you'd think they'd be all out after the first week.

On a side note: Checked my Walmart tonight. No PS3s on the floor. The woman working in electronics basically said what you see (or don't see) on the floor is it.

Wonder if they are putting the out tonight.

Just returned from the West Bank Wal-Mart on Manhattan in Gretna, LA-- across the river from New Orleans proper. The pretty capable attendant in the AV section knew nothing about the PS3/gift card offering. She consulted with another and the answer was the same. She said perhaps it was online.
The store had expanded to two racks of still-overpriced (but less than before) Blu-Rays and also had two Sony BD-300s and one Samsung BR-something that was stacked on its side with the USBs and rechargeable batteries.
So much for that!

Between June 8-14 you'll get the same $100 Wal-Mart giftcard with the purchase of ANY Blu-ray player...

I just talked to the 'returns' counter yesterday (because I was going to buy the BD30, and then get the GC once the sale goes live, and she told me that it would be able to do that.

I was honestly shocked... almost any other store would honor THEIR sale only days after the inital purchase was made! She also told me that the BD30 was not 'returnable'... only exchangeable... so to 'wait'... I can't return a player less than a week after I bought it?!

I'm looking for their return policy online right now... let's read the 'small print'.

BTW, is the sale 6/6 or 6/8? I don't want to go all the way to Wal Mart, to find out that I'm 2 days early. lol
