I'm getting my 5 free BD's dammit!

I bought a BDPS300 for 299.00 back on 12/22 with no free movies.

Now they're offering the same player with 5 free instantly.

You had better believe I'll have my receipt in hand when I go to BB tomorrow.

i already called about this. they said you will have to bring the player back, and then rebuy a new one for the current price.

Are you f'n serious? If that's true, I'll be extremely livid inside that store.

I wonder if I could just bring the UPC off of the box.

Is the player still $299 tomorrow? Cuz if it's more, then you can't do both the $299 and the 5 free movies.

If they do let you do both, then they're retarded and shouldn't be in retail.

The players normal price is 299 for the BDPS300.

Tomorrow's sale price is 299 with 5 free movies.

I paid 299 for my BDPS300 on 12/22 with NO free movies.

If I have to drag the player in there just to get the discs, I'm going to be pissed. Geez, why not just scan the UPC and let me go that route?

Do you still have the UPC? Or did you clip it and send it in for the mail-in rebate?

If you don't have the UPC, here's how you do it. Buy new player, get the free movies. Take the new player back on the old receipt. I've done this a few times when sales have happened at different stores after I've bought something.

I clipped it off, but I still have the original UPC. I haven't sent off for my free mail-in rebate yet.

The normal price is $399.99.

Unfortunately the BDPS300 isn't featured in the ad so I won't know the price of the player until I go into work tomorrow.

But if it's $399.99 with 5 free movies, they'd be stupid to let you double dip and get it for $299 with 5 free movies.

I think TheRescue pretty much answered everyones question... The selling price this week on the S300 is $399, which means if you want those 5 free movies it will cost you $100... You could still try, but don't get mad and throw a fit it that's what happens...

The good thing about the sale is that it says it includes ANY Blu-ray disc player (except the PS3 and Blu-ray computer drive), so that would mean the Panasonic 1.1 profile player would be in the sale. The trouble is they should have all the players on special prices, too, not full. Even with 10 movies, I think people will hesitate at paying $399-$499.
