4 New Imax BD Titles Under $10 Each
Hi Everyone,
I'm a long-time HDD lurker and must firstly thank all of you for your insights and postings of deals as I've ventured into the HDM world over the past few months.
I simply love to be able to own and watch HD movies at home with my wife anytime I like. We've certainly come a long way in home theater and it's a beautiful thing. I look forward to becoming an active member of the community.
Anyway, onto the deal...
Like many others, I tried to jump on the Deep Discount 20% deal starting last week. Unfortunately, I didn't find their HD choices great deals, even with the extra 20% off. I receive the 10% off at Amazon and a dollar or two wasn't enough for me to bother.
However, if you're a nature documentary/IMAX buff like I am, this is a pretty good deal. They're sort of "hidden" as they don't show up in the overall Hi-Def section. I caught them last week before they were taken off the list. These just came out on Tuesday:
1. IMAX - Africa: The Serengeti - http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...uctId=22394248
2. IMAX - Alaska: Spirit of the Wild - http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...uctId=22394249
3. IMAX - Australia: Land Beyond Time - http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...uctId=22394250
4. IMAX - Antarctica: An Adventure Of A Different Nature - http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...uctId=22394251
With the 20% off (promotional code DD1109) and free shipping, each come out to $9.43. That's about $38 for all 4. Amazon has them listed at $13.95 each.
I have the Blue Planet IMAX BD and was really pleased with the quality, depth, and colors for fairly old features. Hopefully these will live up as well. Enjoy.

Waiting for a PQ review is certainly understandable as I use it for the starting point for most of my purchases. Hopefully Peter and/or Kenneth gets to them before the 20% sale ends.
If the past is any indication the IMAX masters really seem to be sharp. I watch a lot of them on OTA broadcasts and they're always stunning.Last edited by stillshadow; 11-16-2007 at 07:06 PM.
