B&N Criterion sale?

I'm seeing titles $23.99, normally they are around $34.

I also ask if this is a sale because I tried using a coupon and in B&N fashion it says I can't.

B&N really pisses me off with these coupons and you not being able to use them with sale items. Why do I bother being a member then besides free shipping. This may be my last year being a member with them. I'll pay the extra $5 on a Criterion through Amazon.

B&N just continues to anger me.

There is a 40% off sale going on at B&N on all BD's. I think it runs through Sept. 4. From what I have read, coupons are not working online. Some have had success with various ones in store though. I'm not a member, but I am tempted to try one of the 15% off coupons when they go active tomorrow.

There's a couple of Criterions I would like to pick up, but I may wait until the Criterion sale they have later this year.

Yah I just called and she confirmed my 20% coupons will not work because of sale items. Such bullshit.
Seriously what is the benefit to be a member. I will not be renewing my membership. I don't buy enough from these bozos because of stupid policies like this.

Considering ebates.com has REMOVED B&N from their list I doubt it. I think I am pretty much finito with B&N.

But I placed an order anyway for 9 titles on my wish list that were at decent prices, including:

Posted on the Criterion thread but B&N has started a Buy 2 get 1 free on select Criterion Blu Rays which started yesterday. Of course, it's a little less appealing than the 50% off all titles.

Well I have tried all these coupons sites like retailmnot , couponcabn , Ezcouponsearch and Coupons as they all have similar features and similar items. They also display sales as well.
