Hastings 40% off sale for July 4th

Been away from the boards for a long time, but had to come back to share this one.

gohastings.com is having a rare 40% off sale, as even blu rays are included at the 40% off. You need only purchase 4 items of any combination of used movies, books, video games or CD's. Shipping is $.96 per item (CD's, Movies, Video Games) or total for a book order.

Scooped up some bargain Disney Blus for about $8 each and some True Blood Season Blus for less than $20 each.

Now you may commence the "Horrors of Hastings" orders comments I figure if the price is right, I can do without the original cardboard artwork but YMMV. Collectors need not apply and all that.....

I love Hastings and buy the majority of my movies there. Picked up Hugo 3d, tin tin 3d, and John carter 3d for $15 each and resident evil 3d for $9.60. Great deals!

Also used the 40% to pick up a few 3D blurays (Guardians Gahoole 3D, Hugo 3D, Mars Needs Moms 3D, Darkest Hour 3D, Priest 3D.) Unfortunately they cancelled my Tintin 3D and Wrath Titans 3D.

Well I just exchanged a host of emails and phone calls with Hastings. Turns out their system was inundated with orders yesterday morning, and I was assigned the same order number for two orders. They had to cancel the second order in its entirety. She suggested that I reorder the items and then call once the order is billed and then they'll honor the 40% off.

That's a bit strange in itself - calling to get a discount after you've paid. Now of course, several of the items I ordered are out of stock, so no go. So much for the $7-8 Disney flicks. And here I was talking about how much I love Hastings! Today...not so much.
