Anyone know how exactly this works? Fandoango doesn't sell tickets to my theaters online (lists the movies and showtimes, but doesn't sell tickets), can I still get this deal?

They really, really, REALLY want me to go see this movie. Can you imagine if truly great, classic cinema got this kind of marketing push? Seriously, I can't believe how hard they feel they need to sell this.

I have the same problem. My suspicion based on how the promotion is worded is that those of us who live in an area with no Fandango supported theaters are out of luck. But I would love to be proven wrong Kind of a shame.

Yeah, it directly goes through the Fandango website so if your theater doesn't sell through them, don't do it.

I think it's doing alright, even without this small promotion. Pretty damn funny, especially if you're a Flash Gordon nostalgist. nothing groundbreaking, but I laughed a lot, so job well done.

Yeah, I meant I don't see the need to push this movie as hard as they have been because it seems to me like one that sells itself once you get a general awareness of its existence out there. But I have been seeing commercials everywhere, repeatedly, ad nauseum for the past few weeks (before/during/after every television program I've caught recently, before/during/after every internet video I watch, article after article on film blogs I frequent)...and now this. =p I will probably watch it sometime, I have nothing against it and I am a fan of MacFarlane, but at this point the movie has been so in-my-face that waiting for home video has almost become a matter of principle for me now. I don't like feeling invaded by advertising!

i am curious to find out what makes this unrated as they didnt really avoid much in the movie. hopefully its worthy stuff and not simply 40seconds extra or something. lol

Agreed. Maybe it's simply an extended edition. I was perfectly happy with the theatrical verison, though - it flowed very well, and just cannot imagine adding anything to what is already perfection.
