Anyone know how exactly this works? Fandoango doesn't sell tickets to my theaters online (lists the movies and showtimes, but doesn't sell tickets), can I still get this deal?

They really, really, REALLY want me to go see this movie. Can you imagine if truly great, classic cinema got this kind of marketing push? Seriously, I can't believe how hard they feel they need to sell this.

Yeah, it directly goes through the Fandango website so if your theater doesn't sell through them, don't do it.

I think it's doing alright, even without this small promotion. Pretty damn funny, especially if you're a Flash Gordon nostalgist. nothing groundbreaking, but I laughed a lot, so job well done.

Yeah, I meant I don't see the need to push this movie as hard as they have been because it seems to me like one that sells itself once you get a general awareness of its existence out there. But I have been seeing commercials everywhere, repeatedly, ad nauseum for the past few weeks (before/during/after every television program I've caught recently, before/during/after every internet video I watch, article after article on film blogs I frequent)...and now this. =p I will probably watch it sometime, I have nothing against it and I am a fan of MacFarlane, but at this point the movie has been so in-my-face that waiting for home video has almost become a matter of principle for me now. I don't like feeling invaded by advertising!

i am curious to find out what makes this unrated as they didnt really avoid much in the movie. hopefully its worthy stuff and not simply 40seconds extra or something. lol
