DANG IT! Why does it have to be on sale this week, and not two weeks from now? I just started a new job, and don't get paid for another two weeks!

Certainly VERY tempting for The Universe. Of course I had bought one of the seasons before at a Super Discount so the double-dip would be costing me more!

i thought this was the most useful review for the universe series (on amazon). it's what prevented me from buying it. if this style of editing that they talk about doesn't bother you, then it sounds like a great deal.

ya, i saw a couple of youtube videos of the quick editing and i also saw the most of the stuff are all computer generated imagery. I was expecting something to really pop out of my 58" HDTV, but i rather stick with Planet Earth

I watched the 1st eps on Netflix, and I could handle the frenetic nature of the video. I also saw "Wonders of the Solar System" by Brian Cox, which was more like Attenborough. Still, there's not enough cosmic series out there to speak of.

I see they are touting The Universe as the Complete Series Megaset but yet it does NOT conclude SSN 6 - wtf? That's sort of buying the Harry Potter Boxset without the final movie or something.
