Was the Narnia movie actually shot in 3D? Nate or anyone else, can you help me here?

It looks like Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the barebones Blu-ray version or am I wrong?
HD DVD, the best in extras!

My HD DVD list: "Clerks 2", "The World's Fastest Indian", "The Thing", "V For Vendetta", "Enter the Dragon" and "Casablanca".
My Blu-ray list: "Warriors Of Heaven and Earth", "Curse Of the Golden Flower", "Kung Fu Hustle", Weeds Season 2, "Rent", "Tekkonkinkreet",
"Lives Of Others", "Black Book", "Hairspray", "Kingdom Of Heaven: Director's Cut", Sanctuary S1, "Chungking Express", "Videodrome", "Contact", "Paprika".

Narnia wasn't shot in 3d. It was converted.
Also, yeah, it looks like the HPH 2 shown in the add is the barebones version.

I'm spending Thanksgiving back home in the Boston area. Trying to go to a Best Buy there on Black Friday is like attending a general admission Who concert. I can't think of many bargains worth dealing with that!

It's been my experience that if you wait until later in the day Friday, or even until Saturday, most of the advertised Blu titles will still be available (except maybe the "doorbusters"), and the crowds won't be nearly as bad as earlier dealing with those camping out overnight for the big ticket items. So, if there are titles you've been wanting that are advertised, it may be worth in order to save some significant $$.

Last year, many BDs that were on Black Friday ad in BB were still available at BF prices even after the New Year. I bought Spartacus: Blood and Sand; and Band of Brothers. However, there is no way that you would want to do an In-Store Pickup for Online orders because there was just one line in Customer Service for Returns and In-Store Pickup.

I'm flattered I got called out to help. That means ya trust me, so I'm damn happy for that!

I do believe it was a conversion, as CD said. There haven't been all that many live action films filmed in native 3D.

also, the HP7.2 disc in the ad is the ONE DISC version. it may not be BAREBONES, but like the stripped version of 7.1, it won't have the MMM or some of the higher end features. it's an entry level disc for people who just want the film, and nothing more.

IMO ALL the BF ads are a yawn-fest this year. I just looked at the BB scans on SD and was wowwed by how boring the ad is.
For buying Movies/tv episodes looks like Walmart and Target are the winners, but being a winner doesn't mean GREAT.

And last year Amazon did a major announcement about the week of BF. This year I can't find any announcement about what specials they plan to have. Yes, it does feel like a borefest.

I wouldn't count Amazon out just yet. They've been prominently displaying a "Countdown to Black Friday" promotion with various sales (mostly GB deals) for a couple weeks now. That makes me believe a major announcement will be made, even if it's at the last minute. Then onto Cyber Monday deals, Christmas deals, after Christmas deals, etc.

Edit: Just checked on the Countdown page and according to their countdown timer, Amazon's BF deals will be posted on Monday at 8 PM PST.

The advertised titles are more likely to be better stocked than the non-advertised titles, as those are the ones BBY anticipates bringing in customer traffic. The people who will be lining up early BF morning are usually those who love the thrill of the chase, can't wait, or want to see what else is on sale.

Generally, Amazon will match all of their movie prices to the lowest advertised price everywhere.

E.g. Best Buy has a low price on TDK.
But Walmart has a lower price than BB on Horrible Bosses.

Amazon will have both low prices.
