I'm not sure the Amazon promotion is working correctly. I threw everything in a cart just to see if it did and according to them when you hit "Proceed to Checkout" the deductions are supposed to be taken off for the free movie and remote.
My total is like $544 and they only deduct $20. That only covers the free movie, not remote.
Although, it looks like the remotes are on backorder now so maybe that has something to do with it? -

Wasn't aware of any Circuit City promotions. Alright then, no big deal. I gotta wonder though, are people buying it just because they can, or because they actually want to see the movie. Hopefully the former, so cheap used ones start showing up on the amazon marketplace soon.

I expect to see you back here after the 360 price cut to take your abuse. Why did you say you're "waiting for Nielsen numbers" when all you DID was mention Amazon? And on a side note, can we curb the crappy cartoon quoting as an exclamation? Victory shall be mine! Fish Police!

I know Microsoft includes component w/the Premium, and HDMI with the new one. Btw, Memento was a great movie, but crappy transfer to BR IMHO, that flick deserves so much better. It sure would be nice if one of these companies would include the smartest and most important additional of all for this format war - an HDMI or at least a component cable set. -

It is a good deal. Memento is a good thriller. Always wanted to get the remote but I just got use to using the control pad. Things are starting to look up for PS3. Although Sony should have packed in a game or remote or even a blu-ray movie for the loyal fans that bought the system on day one. Never fails...the early adopters seems to always get the shaft end of the deal about a year later. Oh well...I guess that is what we get for being impatient. I wonder how 360 will respond to this? Microsoft has to be planning a big annoncement for the 360.

Memento is a fantastic movie. Better than most of the schlock coming out nowadays on BD.

It appears that Memento sold out so Resident Evil is now the free disc.

This is awesome deal nomatter what movie is included.
One thing that Amazon knows is what the PS3 is really good for - its not just a game machine.
Sony smartest decision last year, was for PS3 to have Blu-ray on it only. If PS3 didn't have it PS3 would likely be dead and possibly even Blu-ray.Sony 46in XBR2, VX32L and Panasonic PT-500AE 720p Projector

Now they're offering Resident Evil 2: Apocalypse in the place of Memento. It has reached #2 on the blu-ray best sellers already, and is in the top 10 of all dvd's sold.
