IIRC, Amazon won't refund the price diff if I buy a 3D TV within one week of finding it lowered due to a Black Friday sale?

Interesting. I just checked Amazon's website, and they do offer a 14-day price guarantee for a big ticket item like a 3D TV. So, who cares if the TV goes down in price during Black Friday.

TV Low Price Guarantee
How the TV Low Price Guarantee Works
If you find another web site that offers a lower price on the same product within 14 days after we ship your television, let us know and we'll credit your original payment method for the difference. If we lower our own price within 14 days after we ship your television, let us know and we'll refund you the difference as well.
You can request your refund through the "Found a lower price" link in your Order Summary page which can be found under Your Account. If you have questions or concerns, use the "Contact Us" button on the right side of any Help page to contact Customer Service.
Terms and Conditions:
1. The TV Low Price Guarantee (the "Guarantee") applies only to TVs sold and fulfilled by Amazon.com. If you purchase your TV from another retailer (including third-party sellers on the Amazon.com site), the Guarantee does not apply.
2. To be eligible for the Guarantee, you must first purchase the television from Amazon.com and find a lower price from Amazon.com or on a competitor's web site within 14 days after the Amazon.com ship date. The lower price must remain in effect at the time your Guarantee request is verified by Amazon. Expired offers are not eligible. The Amazon.com price is the price after any rebates, gift certificates, and promotional discounts have been applied to the item. Applicable shipping and handling costs will be included in the price comparison.
3. Competitors' special promotions such as rebates, gift certificates, bundled products and "buy one, get one" offers are not eligible for the Guarantee. Time-limited sales events (such as Black Friday, "early bird" or "door buster" offers ), offers advertised as limited in time or quantity, clearance, liquidation and going-out-of business sales, and loyalty program offers are also ineligible for the Guarantee.
4. Price difference applies to full cost of the item minus any promotions, and does not include tax.
5. Guarantee applies to the price payable for TVs only. Offers for or including ancillary services (such as financing, installation, or extended warranties) are not covered by the Guarantee.
6. The competing offer must be currently available in the model, color, and style that is sold by Amazon.com and the competing offer must be in-stock and available for purchase on the competitor's Web site, in new, unopened condition. Used, returned, open-box and display items are not eligible.
7. Guarantee applies to websites only, not brick-and-mortar stores.
8. Guarantee does not apply where the competitor or Amazon.com has made a pricing error or typographical error on an item.
9. To qualify for the Guarantee, the website featuring the competing offer must not be an auction site or paid-membership club, and the seller must be authorized by the manufacturer as a reseller of the product. Web site must be operated by a U.S. company and must ship products from a U.S. location.
10. Only one unit purchased of an item per customer is eligible for the Guarantee (that is, multiple claims on the same item will not be eligible, regardless of the quantity ordered), and the guarantee can only be applied once per item, even if a lower-priced offer is subsequently found.
11. Guarantee only applies to purchases for personal use. Guarantee does not apply to purchases for resale or commercial purposes.
12. If your claim satisfies all of these terms and conditions, we will refund the price difference between our price and the competing offer through the original payment method(s) used for the TV purchase.
13. We reserve the right to deny claims if our policy is being abused. -

Dang-it. I just noticed item 3. The only way to figure out which way to go is to know ahead of time what Amazon is planning to put on their BF sale.

I noticed in the newly scan from Best Buy's Black Friday Ad that they will have Predators, Prince of Persia and Saving Private Ryan for $9.99, maybe Amazon will price match like last year on most of their items.

Why can't they post Train your Dragon for Black Friday? Still, Predators would be a nice $10 blind buy for me.

Hoping to FINALLY get a good price on some catalogs I've been waiting forever to pick up (like "The Green Mile" digibook) and some newer releases I haven't picked up yet (Apocalypse Now FDE, Blues Brothers, The Pacific, Life, Alien Anthology, Iron Man 2, Robin Hood, and more like that) plus hopefully Gran Turismo 5 and F1: 2010.
I'm telling you because I assume you are feeling generous and making out your shopping list? :-)
