It's not them not taking back the return it's knowing that they profit $28 on a controller. Sure it's legal though something doen't seem right about that. Actually the sales clerk told me 30 days so is that fraud? I get that it's on the recipt somewhere and i still have it. Walmart thing may not me the right thing to do though I don't think it criminal fraud.
EDIT: Actually everyone here talks about Amazon being tax free when you are legall obligated to report it on your state taxes. I know I'm nitpicking.Last edited by Stranger Danger; 08-03-2010 at 12:13 PM.

i really don't see a huge issue with it. you can do no receipt returns at walmart upto 3 times in however many days. i thought it was a year but someone said 90 days. it's not like i make a habit of it and i'm not asking for money. i'm still getting merchandise from wal mart, it's stuff that they will be able to sell again. not used, not counterfeit. i work in retail and really don't see this being unethical. people do A LOT worse than exchanging blu rays that weren't originally purchased at their own store. Try having people switch tags on shirts that might look alike but are worth about 1/3 of the value to get more MONEY back and keeping the original. then talk to me about ethics and fraud

Actually, I work in Retail doing corporate returns and depending on the unit cost of a particular item the store may actually make profit from a return more times than not. Since most stores only give you the last sale price of an item returned without receipt and then they throw it back on the shelf and sell it for full retail or return it to the vendor for full cost when they only refunded the customer the sale price, which usually a lot of times less than cost. Most times they will actually profit from a non-receipt return.
Is it morally wrong to do this because you're lying? Sure, you lied. Did you really rob the store? No, they probably got the better end of the deal.
The people to be real crooks are the people that cry and scream for a lower price because the shelf tag is wrong or the item was on the wrong spot on the shelf or the advertisement didn't specify a certain item. Those are the real people in the wrong. There is no way the store is getting that money back. -

Wow are you kidding me? You're honestly going to tell me that no one else thought of doing this? Or picking them up an selling the movies. Get real. You're acting like i am committing armed robbery or something. Knew that forums were full of A holes but not the damn ethics hotline. So sorry I brought it up.

Speaking of no receipt returns at walmart. A few weeks ago Best Buy was selling Final Fantasy XIII for $19.99 after a $20 Rewardzone coupon witha maximum of 3 copies of the same title per coupon. Walmart was and is still selling Final Fantasy XIII for $59.99..........

Two for $20 must have been a limited deal, I don't see it either...
EDIT- When I manually searched for Flash Gordon, there was a 2 for $20 offer to click on and it does appear the list has grown but the gift card offer is not there. -

When I searched Darkman the other day on bb.com, both offers were showing up under the price. Only one deal shows up now (2 for $20). Looks like they finally caught on. I think combining both sales on select titles is over!
