It is a tale of three Kubricks...first two-thirds of the film were all 2001 w/A Clockwork Orange thrown in (see: Cilian Murphy), then the final third of the film was The Shining. At least that is how I view the film and why I find it so enjoyable, it is one big outer space ode to Kubrick.

Was at fye again and they have a sale 20% off when you buy 3 used. This stacks with their VIP or backstage pass cards to make it 30% off. Picked up a bunch of newer titles for around $12 ea and the spiderman trilogy for $20.

All kinds of unadvertised sales at Ultimate Electronics here in Denver Colorado. Sorry I have such sketchy info but my wife was waiting in the car for me with our daughter. I just remember what were the highlights to me.

    2 for $18 titles
    Eastern Promises
    Children of Men

$6.99 (basically the same as last week but still on sale this week!)
    Angel Heart
    The Hills Have Eyes 2
Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (highlight for the wives out there but they were out at my UE)

I am going into town again Monday or Tuesday and I will try to get a more complete list. I might even call and ask them to e-mail me some of the flyers they have displayed. I would think they would be willing to do this since it would only help sales.

i think that would be descent part 1, as part 2 did not hit usa on blu, just dvd. many other countries got region locked blus instead.

cheaper by the dozen 2 great price, but i think i can live without it.

It was actually The Hills Have Eyes 2. I have been shopping for 'The Descent' this evening so that must be how I got my wires crossed. Trying to figure out if it's worth the import from AU or if I should just get the US version. Then trying to figure out how I know if I got the new remastered US version. The OCD of getting the best version can be very tedious and time consuming! lol

Thanks for the tip! I picked up "History of the World pt1" and "The Edge"
for $15 ea last night at Wal-mart. Also found that a HUGE display was nearly
empty for some decent $9 dvd's (it still had the individual barcodes with titles) and I picked up "The Empire Strikes Back" widescreen double disc (containing the original theatrical cut)! Who knows if ol' Georgie will
come through this Fall and release that on along with the Special Ed...

Costco has Sin City for 12.99, along with the first 2 POTC films. .11 cents more than Sam's Club, but not everyone has a Sam's Club, let alone a membership!

Doesn't Costco require a membership too?

I have one around me but have never been.

One thing they do now, I noticed, is they have these platform wars, like "Xbox is better than Playstation." That's nerdy to me. What the fuck is the matter with you?
