This is why I no longer buy blu's, just rent. Everytime I think it is safe to get a title, another upgraded version comes along...

Not to mention the fact that only those who go to Comic-Con are privy to this . What about those of us who are not able to attend? It's a little unfair, especially since there are only 250 of them, that are being made...

well to be fair, this was one of the very early blu releases and it was bare bones. so it was inevitable it would be re-released with the extras intact. though its odd how they simply give you the 2nd disc of the dvd collection instead of including them on the blu disc. but thats why i still havent bought the blu of this movie yet, was waiting....of course knowing about the extras, i am probably better off buying the current blu which is like 10$ or less these days since i already have the 2 disc dvd edition.

Is this the first 3D-conversion of a previously released movie that goes straight to Blu-ray 3D rather than have a re-release in theaters?

Didn't they have this robot head in Japan for the DVD? It actually held the DVDs?

I'd bet the same effect can be had with a Panasonic player or TV converting the I, Robot BD to 3D.

Hmmmmm... I really enjoy this movie, so I'm curious to know how the conversion is. If it's solid, I'll bite.

I don't, but off the top of my head, 'Battle of Los Angeles' (the Asylum knock-off of Battle: Los Angeles) got coverted to 3D as well. If you go to Amazon.de and sort through their 3D Blu-ray listings, I'm sure you can find some more. However, reports are that these are quickie 3D conversions on par with doing it in real-time in a TV.
