    Oh how nice! ...Passive though, with half the high def resolution!
    ...And even less from Cable 3D TV!

    Let the good time rolls.
    {You can get Passive 3D glasses for as low as $5 a pair from the right places...}
    Oh well, this guy from that article doesn't seem to be aware of this yet.

    I got 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'LOTR EE' Trilogy, & 'Avatar 3D' (without the Panny TV).

    Hmmmm, My local theater gives me a free pair when i buy a 3D movie ticket for 12.00. I guess i could opt to pay $20 extra thou...LMAO, or not.

    Watched Sharks on DTV 3D TV tonight on my passive set, Looked pretty amazing. Passive, less then half the price of active glasses and the 3D looks just as good.

    They do expect them back you know.

    Also the article says they are RealD glasses. I did not know that RealD glasses were compatible with any passive display. Actually, I thought they were not.

    They are. RealD using circular polarization as do passive 3DTVs. Only IMAX continues to use linear polarization.

    I've snagged a few pairs from my local theater and they work fine with the TV. The article is interesting, but from what i have see with the Directv 3d it looks great so i'm not worried.

    Disney Movie Rewards has some RealD glasses you can redeem right now too. They had some Cars 2 and Pirates 4 themed versions.
