The chemicals in those sprays are corrosive. They're not good for DVDs or CDs either, despite being marketed for them.

In most cases, a light rinsing with water and a wiping with a lint-free cloth (go to your local drug store and pick up an eyeglasses cleaning cloth for $1) should be more than enough to clean any optical discs you own.
