What are the other components of your setup in the bedroom?
As for the PS3 for example, I don't know if you can have the analog cable, with the stereo RCA ends, to run the audio but still have the HDMI to output image.
Anyway, counting on the rest of your setup's ability to accept audio and video in an acceptable manner I'd say the PS3 is the best choice here. As I believe pretty much everyone is aware of already -
the PS3 delivers! That, coupled with the possibility of playing games, and more specifically perhaps you'd like to play together or against someone like LAN, makes it a win here I'd say.
