This sounds like a decent program, once the pricing gets past the exorbitant new release blu-ray prices. Picture buying one of these movies on blu-ray on sale to replace your old sd-dvd and getting $10 back? And you still have the SD-DVD to keep or tag-sale or whatever? Sounds pretty good to me, if it is a movie you really wanted to replace in high def.
