Harold and Kumar wasn't hateful, and they bickered...but it was out of situations that arose. I could see how they were friends, for it introduced them in a calm manner, and then laid the shit on the table.
Superbad started negative, and continued to be negative until like the last 5 minutes of the film. It was just too much hate for me. It wasn't like they were forced to work together or something...they've been friends for years.
Midnight Run
Cheech and Chong
48 Hours
Half Baked
Tango and Cash
Real Men (which South Park brilliantly homaged)
It's like every stoner comedy/buddy flick out there. It borrows heavily from the cliches, and barely throws in it's own "voice".
The film was dull, and not that smart.

You must have never had a close friend because close friends bicker all the time
And none of those movies had the plotline this had.
And if your saying its the pothead movie that is un original then you could say it about every genre that has been done more than once. This movie was definetly original
