I didn't care for either of them, and found them to be the weak link of the "Apatow Comedies".

Superbad is so mean, that it's hard to care for anything in that film. I didn't notice how mean it was until I bought the BD and tried watching it again. It's just plain out hateful.

Pineapple Express is just meh. It isn't original enough, and the comedy wasn't absurd enough. It played it way too safe, and in the process created a rather dull comedy. James Franco and Craig Robinson were fantastic in their roles though...and pretty much brought the laughs.
